How to Become A More Positive Person

ADDING POSITIVITY TO YOUR LIFE

WATCH WHAT YOU FEED YOUR MIND

It's important to watch what you pay attention to in your daily life. Even when it comes unnoticed, we're gradually changing each day either for the better or worse. What you watch, listen to, or read, becomes a part of you. Every single bit makes a difference and adds onto your pathway to a positive or negative life. There's no specific number of books you read, videos you watch, podcasts you listen to, which will bring you to the maximum potential of negativity or positivity, everyone is different. Everyone is at a different point in their lives, and one thing won't work out for every single person. Even though it may seem obvious, just note that, the more negative things you pay attention to, will bring you further down. And the more positive things you pay attention to, will bring you further up.

Change your thinking patterns

The human brain is one of the most complicated things on earth. It's important to pay attention to your daily thoughts. The more you think in a certain way, the more you become that way. Don't dwell on the negatives and don't worry about a thing. Dwelling on negative occurrences in your life, will only make things worse. Instead, find a distraction, or look at it from a more positive perspective. For example, if you failed miserably at presenting your poem in front of your English class by having your thoughts all mixed up, or you tripped once you got in front of the class and you completely embarrassed yourself, don't dwell on the negatives of the situation. Think of how much that would matter in 5 or 10 years. No one in the class probably even remembers that situation. Or think of it as an opportunity for growth. Maybe you failed the first time at presenting, next time you'll do better. Don't let your negative thoughts get to you, make the shift in your mind and turn it into a positive thought. Get into the habit of switching your negative thoughts, and watch your days become brighter.

Who you spend your time with, grows on you

We've always heard or experienced how strong peer pressure actually is. We always seem to be pressured by our peers no matter what it is. We want to feel loved or fit in with our social circles. You become influenced by the habits of your friends whatever it is. If you hang around a group of construction workers, most likely, you will become a construction worker. If you spend your time with friends who smoke marijuana, you might even join in and smoke as well. If you hang out with a group entrepreneurs, there's a high chance you'll become one. You get the whole idea. If you have a group of friends or family who possibly bring negativity in your life, cut them off. Even if they're the only friends you have, or if they're your only best friends. If your serious about becoming more positive, this is an important decision to make towards positivity. Its better to be alone than have a large amount of negative friends. Replace them with more positive people, people who will support you every step of the way. Replace them with people who actually does something with their life, people who aim high. So that you will become more like them and learn how to create and reach your own goals as well.
